Enroll by December 15, 2025, for coverage starting January 1, 2026; applications submitted December 16, 2025 – January 15, 2026 generally start February 1, 2026. Coverage begins after you pay your first premium to the insurance company.

Carriers sometimes discontinue products or adjust service areas. Use Open Enrollment to pick a 2026 option and help avoid a gap. We can explain how networks, formularies, and typical cost trade-offs compare so you understand your choices before you apply.
Apply when you’re ready
Applications are completed on HealthCare.gov. If you miss January 15, you’ll usually need a Special Enrollment Period (qualifying life event). You can apply for Medicaid or CHIP year-round if eligible.
